Boot Camp is a day set aside for business owners – specifically water treatment providers – to step away from working in their business to work on their business. This year’s content is focused on marketing and finance, which would apply to your plumbing business. Come and share your experiences and expertise.
Convention, Day One – Tuesday, April 18, 2023
Tuesday, Day One of Convention, begins with a dynamite presentation: “More than a Sale: Ethics and PFAS.” Then, depending on your area of interest or skill level, you will find plenty of education sessions that appeal directly to you. How about “Drinking Water and Plumbing Chemical Contamination Challenges,” or “Problem Water/Testing, Applications & Solutions?” Wrap up the afternoon with the Opening Keynote Session at 3 p.m.
Convention, Day Two – Wednesday, April 19, 2023
Wednesday kicks off with the 2023 Consumer Opinion Study, a look at consumer opinions about water quality and water treatment. This study is conducted every two years by WQA, and members get an in-depth look at the data.
Other sessions that day include “Introduction to Softener Efficiency,” “Softening Water with High TDS,” and a Business Operations Panel session that could help you with running your business.
Then it’s time to hit the trade show floor. The expo hall is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. (Lunch is available for purchase in the Expo Hall). Finish strong with a tasty Networking Reception featuring tempting food selections, refreshing beverages, and opportunities to meet new friends in the water treatment and plumbing industries.
Convention, Day Three – Thursday, April 20, 2023
Thursday offers another blast of education, starting with an 8 a.m. session perfect for plumbers: “Adapting Water Needs for Current Building Design – The Water Demand Calculator.” IAPMO’s Christoph Lohr reviews how to use the Water Demand Calculator and technical benefits of using this tool, the first time in 80 years that plumbing has significantly changed its methodology in determining peak water demand. After that, see all the latest innovations and meet with suppliers at the Expo, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
