Philip Olsen

Biographical Outline: Mr. Olsen has a long and distinguished career in the water treatment industry. Today, he is widely recognized as a leading water technology/business consultant, lecturer, and author. He has published 28 peer-reviewed papers, holds 21 patent claims, and is frequently invited by industry associations and regulatory agencies to conduct lectures pertaining to technical applications, drinking water regulations, and strategic platforms for business growth in response to emerging market demands. In addition, Mr. Olsen served as a contributing member and chaired numerous committees and boards for the Water Quality Association throughout the 1990's, including those related to Educational Services, Professional Certification, Filtration, Ethics, and Science. He also founded and chaired WQA’s Public Small Systems Task Force and Ozone Task Force where his work initiated, and lead to the development of the first comprehensive textbook for the application of ozone for POU, POE, and Small Public Drinking Water Treatment Systems. The WQA acknowledged Mr. Olsen in 1995 with their Award of Merit, for his work toward the advancement of WQA’s Educational Services and Professional Certification program.
