Charles Michaud
Charles F. "Chubb" Michaud is the CEO and Technical Director of Systematix Company of Buena Park, California. (founded in 1982). He has over 40 years of field experience in water and fluid treatment applications and system design and hold four US Patents in the field of ion exchange.. An active member of the Water Quality Association (WQA), Michaud has served on the Board of Directors and Board of Governors of WQA and has chaired several committees, sections and task forces. He is a WQA Certified Master Water Specialist. Michaud served on the Board of Directors of the Pacific WQA for thirteen years where he has chaired the Technical and Education Committees for twelve of those years.
Michaud received the PWQA Robert Gans Award in 1992 and again in 2012 in addition to the Award of Merit from WQA in 2000 in recognition of his ongoing technical contributions to the industry. He was inducted into the PWQA prestigious Hall of Fame in 2007 and the National WQA Hall of Fame in 2014. A founding member of the Technical Review Committee for Water Conditioning and Purification Magazine, he served in that capacity from 1996 until retiring in 2015. He has authored over 100 technical publications and presentations. A University of Maine grad. He holds a BS and MS degree in Chemical Engineering.
